The Health Literacy Discussion List is an online email list that began in 1997 and has grown along with the field of Health Literacy. We now have over 1600 subscribers from around the world, and members from diverse fields of practice and study, including healthcare, public heath, education, social work, research, library sciences, social science, and many more. What unites our members is an interest in using health literacy as a way to support better health around the world. We share resources, ask and answer questions, announce events, and discuss new ideas. The list is supported by the Institute for Healthcare Advancement (IHA), and is free and open to anyone. It is moderated, but very unstructured. You can ask any question or bring up any topic related to health literacy. To join the list, please go to this link: http://listserv.ihahealthliteracy.org/. Or you can email the list moderator, Julie McKinney, at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
