Dr Tania Cork has been a practicing pharmacist for over 25 years after studying at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

She has worked in various sectors such as community, hospital, commissioning bodies, general practice and academia.

In November 2008, Tania was appointed Chief Officer of the Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC) and now spends her time split between the LPC role and as an academic pharmacist at both Keele University and Stoke-on-Trent College.

She is the current Head of Pharmacy at Stoke College which delivers Level 2 and 3 courses for pharmacy support staff.

In 2019 she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy for her research interests in health literacy intervention in community pharmacy. She has also recently had several research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and accepted for presentation at national and international conferences.

Tania continues to practise as a pharmacist which fuels her interest in health literacy and how community pharmacists can help patients understand their medicines.
